Glen Davis, of all people, went for 19/12.
So much to say, but Bret can say it all better than me.
The real question now is whether the Hawks can win any of the next four games. Losing them all--which looks likely, not just possible--would drop them to 42-35, and certainly put the home-court 4th seed in jeopardy.
Bret, I know you've done fair share of research tracking the Hawks' stats, and I have not kept up with all of it, so bear with me...but it seems to me the Hawks are making significantly fewer three-pointers in the second half of the season. Perhaps just with an informed comment, can you trace an real correlation between number of threes made and wins? Is there a threshold number or range?
Also, I wonder how the lack of Marvin's too-infrequently-used post-up game affects three-point opportunities. Horford has more a face-the basket, high-post game (from my limited observations) and we know about Josh Smith's inability to do anything other than dunk...
... and dare we say the Celtics may be tired of any perceived trash talk regarding the Hawks taking them to a Game 7 last season? It would be four-and-out this time around, based on what we've seen.
