PREVIOUSLY, THE BOSTON CELTICS...bounced back from their 93-85 loss in Atlanta Friday night with a 114-107 win in Toronto yesterday.
The Celtics get plenty of credit for their team defense. It's fully deserved as they're second in the league in defensive efficiency despite Kevin Garnett playing just 52% of the team's minutes. What's sometimes overlooked is the balance of their offensive attack. The top 7 Celtics in minutes played (Ray Allen, Rondo, Pierce, Perkins, Garnett, Wallace, and House) all average between 20.3 (Rondo) and 26.9 (Pierce) points per 100 possessions with all five starters above the league average in TS%. Now, they have to be that efficient when shooting because they turn the ball over so much (5th-most often in the league).
The Hawks, in comparison, are somewhat more spread out:
Name | Pts/100 |
Johnson | 29.9 |
Crawford | 29.4 |
Josh Smith | 24.4 |
Horford | 21.3 |
Williams | 18.4 |
Bibby | 18.4 |
