Michael Cunningham reports that Josh Smith will miss a week after getting five stitches for a cut in his right hand suffered during last night's exhibition game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Joining Smith on the sidelines at practice were (deep breath) Jamal Crawford (back), Maurice Evans (knee surgery), and Pape Sy (back), each of whom sat out the exhibition game, as well as the triumvirate of veteran physicality and very little rebounding: Jason Collins (leg), Etan Thomas (achilles), and Josh Powell (groin).
The next exhibition game is Monday, October 11th in Detroit.
