PREVIOUSLY...the Orlando Magic lost five of six games. Then Otis Smith traded a third of his roster, a first-round pick, and cash in exchange for Gilbert Arenas, Hedo Turkoglu, Jason Richardson, and Earl Clark. Before any of those guys arrived, the Magic (with a bench of just Chris Duhon, Jason Williams, and Malik Allen for the night) lost to Philadelphia to make it six losses in seven games.
I have no idea how the remade Magic will function. The addition of both Arenas and Turkoglu seems redundant to me but, hey, it beats playing Duhon.
The Magic defeated the Hawks 93-89 in Orlando on November 8th but the Hawks won the second meeting in Orlando 80-74 on December 6th.
Consider this an open thread for all pre-game, in-game, and post-game (but pre-recap) thoughts.
